Community Atlanta

Atlanta is one of my favorite cities. There are a million things you can do and see here. I’ve been around Atlanta for ages and I continue to discover something new about the city every day! One thing I know for sure is that Atlanta is a city that always keeps on giving.

Atlanta is the county seat of Fulton County and the capital of Georgia. This vibrant sprawl of a city is a cultural and economic powerhouse in the South. Although there are only roughly 472,500 residents living in the city proper, almost six million people populate the Atlanta metropolitan area.

In a nutshell, Atlanta is a culturally diverse and socially progressive city that welcomes everyone – it’s one of the city’s charms! There are endless opportunities here, whether in recreation, entertainment, careers, or real estate. Because of all these things, Atlanta has consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in the United States.

Houses for Sale in Atlanta

Atlanta’s housing market is exciting whether you’re a buyer or a seller. There are three things in particular that I’d like to share with you about Atlanta real estate.

Over the years, Atlanta has revitalized several neighborhoods. On the one hand, it led to an increase in the housing supply. On the other hand, home prices and the cost of living in Atlanta slightly increased, although it’s still below the US average. The biggest draw, however, is that Atlanta metro real estate still offers better value for your money compared to similar metro areas in the country.

If you’re buying a home, Atlanta has plenty of options. Single-family homes, townhouses, apartments, and condos are everywhere and available at different price points. Architectural styles are equally diverse. Atlanta is home to 242 official neighborhoods, but I can help you narrow down your home search. We usually divide Atlanta into five areas: Downtown, Buckhead, Midtown, Eastside, and Westside.

Living in Atlanta

Due to Atlanta’s robust economy and job growth, the city remains a hot destination for home buyers. This is great news if you’re selling, as there is constant demand for housing in the city.

With over 200 neighborhoods, Atlanta is hard to fully explore. To get you started, here are some of my favorite things to do in the city

  • Atlanta festivals – Whatever the season, Atlanta has a string of big and small festivals you would definitely enjoy. Some of the most notable events include the Atlanta Film Festival, Atlanta Jazz Festival, Atlanta Food and Wine Festival, Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade, and Chick-Fil-A Bowl.
  • Eat your way around the city – Atlanta’s culinary scene offers international flavors and beloved Southern comfort food. Canoe, Chops Lobster Bar, The Optimist, Aria, and Fogo de Chão are some of the most highly regarded restaurants in the city.
  • Learn about Atlanta’s history – There are several attractions across the city that tell Atlanta’s story. Start your tour at Atlanta History Center in Buckhead, continue on to Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, and stop by Oakland Cemetery.
